  • 摘要:Courses and programs delivered in the online format continue to grow and institutions of higher education havecommitted increasing resources for the development of online classes and even entire degree programs. Yet manyquestions remain concerning the practicality and reliability of online learning, particularly from the student’sperspective. The purpose of this study was to collect insights into students' perceptions of online learning as comparedto those of the traditional on-ground learning and hybrid learning formats. This study surveyed 287 students enrolledin computer and information systems courses from three universities to identify perceived challenges based on theironline learning experiences. Results of the study indicated that students find completely online courses less effectivethan on-ground and hybrid courses. This finding is consistent across three universities, a private university, a stateuniversity, and a state-related university.
