  • 摘要:This paper summarizes the results to the research question: what is the relationship between academic performance and family cohesion? Given the various factors to which humans are exposed within their academic journey, the interest arose to analyze how family relationships affect the academic performance. This study was conducted in a private secondary school in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. The objective was to determine whether there is an influence of family cohesion on academic performance. Data was collected using the FACES III test, a socio-demographic questionnaire, and the student transcripts. The Pearson correlation test showed that there is a moderate positive correlation between family cohesion and academic performance, r(128) = .316, p < .05. The relationship between these two variables did not differ in the light of the participants’ gender.
