其他摘要：The craft production from Maranhão, for its strong influence on the generation of employment and income, has contributed to the development of women’s empowerment, a new conception of power that allows women greater participation in decision-making as a group or association, in the management of responsibilities towards family, work and regarding the masculine gender, giving them greater autonomy. The present study identifies and discusses some design initiatives in the state of Maranhão (Brazil) that corroborate the autonomy and emancipation of artisans.
