摘要：A água assume diversos significados consoante às relações, às pulsões e aos afetos que despertam nos grupos sociais. Pode ser um recurso natural, apaziguadora do clima, fonte de saciedade da sede, um composto ou fórmula química, meio de transporte, atrativo turístico, irrigadora das plantas, mercadoria que dá lucro, fonte de inspiração para os artistas, metáfora para a modernidade, elemento da natureza a ser respeitado e adorado, instrumento de purificação da alma em diversas religiões. Seja como for, a água compõe nossas entranhas, está em todos os seres vivos e nas nossas relações com o mundo. Neste trabalho a análise será centrada nos orixás ligados à cosmovisão da água, seja a água doce ou a água salgada, bem como a outros elementos que com ela se relacionam: vento, chuva, tempestade, trovão, raios, arco-íris, pântano. Procurar-se-á entender a relação homem-natureza-mito, como forma de apreender o mundo e as múltiplas maneiras como o homem nele se insere e com ele dialoga, a partir das referências e do aporte teórico-metodológico da geografia humanista cultural. Os orixás, aqui particularmente os das águas, contribuíram para que os africanos tornados escravos refizessem sua cosmovisão no Brasil.
其他摘要：The water takes on different meanings depending on the relationship, the instincts and the emotions that arouse social groups. It may be a natural resource, climate placating, headquarters of satiety source, a compound or chemical formula, means of transport, tourist attraction, irrigating plants, merchandise makes a profit, a source of inspiration for artists, a metaphor for modernity, nature of the element to be respected and loved, soul purification tool in many religions. Anyway, the water makes up our guts, it is in all living beings and in our relations with the world. In this work the analysis will focus on the deities linked to the worldview of the water, either fresh water or salt water, as well as other elements related to it: wind, rain, storm, thunder, lightning, rainbow, marsh. Find yourself will understand the man-nature-myth relationship as a way of apprehending the world and the multiple ways in which the man it is part and he converses, from references and theoretical and methodological contribution of cultural humanistic geography. Orishas, here particularly of water, contributed to the African slaves made re-do their worldview in Brazil.
