摘要：O presente artigo pretende refletir sobre a governança na educação superior e tem como objetivo geral demonstrar através de dados estatísticos o ingresso de alunos e a ampliação de matrículas, no período de 1995 até o ano de 2010. Esse período foi selecionado por evidenciar as mudanças no cenário de globalização no Brasil e também devido ao desenvolvimento de novos programas que foram vinculados ao ensino superior.Utilizou-se metodologicamente a base de dados do Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (INEP) para desenvolvimento de uma pesquisa quantitativa e descritiva com dados secundários.Pode-se considerar, finalmente, que os dados apresentados à área de governança, aliada aos aportes e arranjos institucionais no sistema de gestão de educação superior, foram muito expressivos.
其他摘要：This article aims to reflect on governance in higher education and has the general objective to demonstrate through statistical data the admission of students and the increase in enrollment, from 1995 to 2010. This period was selected to highlight the changes in globalization scenario in Brazil and also due to the development of new programs that have been linked to higher education. It was used methodologically the database of the National Institute of Educational Studies Teixeira (INEP) to develop a quantitative and descriptive study using secondary data. It can be considered finally that according to data presented to the governance of the area coupled with the investments and institutional arrangements in higher education management system were very expressive.
