摘要:The research aim to know whether there are differences in students creativity that controlled of initial creativity between that learned with APBL and conventional learning. This research was a quasi experimental with non-equivalent control-group design. The population in this research were students of class XI MIA of SMAN 1 Kedungwaru, Tulungagung. The sample in this research were selected using cluster sampling technique consists of two classes, that are XI MIA 6 (students that learned with APBL) and XI MIA 3 (students that learned with conventional learning), each class consists of 40 students. This research data were learning processes and creativity data. Instruments of this research were creativity tests consist of 4 essay questions, observation and documentation. Reliability of creativity test was 0,58. Hypothesis was tested using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) with pretest as a covariate. The research result was obtained that there are differences in students creativity that controlled of initial creativity between that learned with aPBL and conventional learning, = 18.24 with significance level of 0.00. The average score of students creativity that learned with APBL of 9.27 and a student that learned with conventional learning of 8.15. This means APBL more improve students creativity than conventional learning.

Key Words : aPBL, Creativity Abstrak : Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan kreativitas siswa yang dikontrol kreativitas awalnya antara yang dibelajarkan dengan aPBL dan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen quasi dengan rancangan non-equivalent control-group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI MIA SMAN 1 Kedungwaru, Tulungagung. Sampel dalam penelitian ini dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster sampling terdiri dari dua kelas yaitu XI MIA 6 (siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan aPBL) dan XI MIA 3 (siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajar-an konvensional) masing-masing terdiri dari 40 siswa. Data penelitian ini adalah proses pembelajaran dan data kreativitas. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa tes kreativitas terdiri dari 4 soal uraian, lem-bar observasi dan dokumentasi. Reliabilitas tes kreativitas sebesar 0,58. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) dengan pretest sebagai kovariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kreativitas siswa yang dikontrol kreativitas awalnya antara yang dibelajarkan dengan aPBL dan pembelajaran konvensional, = 18,24 dengan tingkat signifikansi sebesar 0,00. Skor rata-rata kreativitas siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan aPBL sebesar 9,27 dan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional sebesar 8,15. Hal ini berarti aPBL lebih meningkatkan kreativitas siswa daripada pembelajaran konvensional. Kata kunci : aPBL, kreativitas
