In order to clarify what the public thinks about the state of the Freedom of Choice of Medical Institution, we carried out a public opinion survey which involved 536 participants. The results were as follows. 1. 8.2% of the respondents supported limiting the amount of free access to medical care, 35.1% of the respondents agreed with partially limiting access to medical care, 25.2% of the respondents opposed limiting access to medical care. 2. The opinions about access restriction are significant difference in statistical way in at age, sex, an income, consultation frequency. 3. The expected medical access will be the group practice system by plural medical practitioners in future. 4. Approximately 10% of all of the respondents of the survey stated that they would support a health care system like England's GP System. 5. In regards to the direction that medical care should be going in, more than half of the respondents felt that they would like private physicians that already are established to cooperate and build a new "Group Practice" where everyone would be able to get comprehensive medical treatment. If one really values the opinion of the public, it would seem that medical care should not be limited across the country.
