摘要:Social skills are essential for teachers’ performance, therefore, it is also relevant to incorporate them in teacher education preservice programs. The aim of this research is to explore the meaning of the construct “social skills”. This research is based on a descriptive design and a convenience sample of 237 subjects (teachers, scholars and university students) from the Chilean region of La Araucanía. Each group followed the technique of natural semantic networks. Results show that empathic-solidary skills and communication skills are the most relevant for all participants.
