摘要：Two Crises or One? Persistence and Disappearance of Simple Commodity Production in Tobacco in Turkey and Canada Through a comparison of the conditions of tobacco production in Turkey and in Canada, this study aims to bring an understanding to the conditions of persistence and disappearence of simple commodity production in agriculture. It is argued that the variations in the scale of production and in labor - and capital - intensity between these two cases reflect two different tendencies in the decomposition and transformation of simple commodity production.
