摘要：What opportunities do asylum seekers and persons granted asylum find in order to make contacts in their new environment, gain access to new support systems, obtain important information and tips as well as experience appreciation and recognition? The volunteer association KAMA (German acronym for course offerings for asylum seekers, migrants and persons granted asylum) in Linz takes on this responsibility following the example of Vienna. Asylum seekers and persons who have been granted asylum can share their knowledge with other people in self-organized course offerings and ultimately recover a bit of their self-esteem. The focus is on reciprocal learning; participation in the course itself is contingent upon a voluntary donation. This portrait outlines the history of the development of the association and its activities, framing them with information on the situation of the work and life of asylum seekers in Austria. (Ed.)
