摘要：This paper addresses the discussion around the category of the curriculum as an educational policy in the Mexican basic education field in its crossing with studies on culture. It also tries to warn that there are cultural differences that the national curriculum of the Mexican basic education cannot subvert, the schools that cannot resist more, and the reach of the public. From this point of view, in which the curriculum is a social and historical construction and hence, contingent and precarious which current moment are thundering showing these traits; in particular when facing cultural, ethnic and linguistic diversity field. As an example of this, the theoretical tools and the Mexican basic education textbooks. The paper closes with a reflection on the deep curriculum crisis, the contents that are transmitted to the national and the basic as the hegemonic discursive chains which are losing more and more ground and with that, the impossibility of quality on education that Mexican children and youth receive.
