摘要:The main subjet of this paper is the study of bronze strapmounts with studs for attachment, found in Roman settlements of the Iberian Peninsula. The purpose is to explain a method for describing, analyzing and studing bronze studs, and present a table of the most important patterns in Roman Spain and suggest some guidelines for future catloguing. Subsequently, we expose and discuss many hypothese concerning the chronology, the iconographic models, the function and the meaning of these studs, taking as a basis the archeological record without being unaware of the limitation it imposes. We presents the results obtained in the metallic composition analyses of some standars, the study of alloys show that leaded bronze is predominant.
