摘要:This article discusses how culture and quality education are considered in physical education in the Uruguayan context. The text is grounded in incursions through theoretical frameworks that give attention to this problem, as well as in assertions made by researchers in the area who work in the University of the Republic of Uruguay. The analyzes indicates that the questions related to culture are ancillary if compared to traditional approaches carried out by Uruguayan physical education. When it comes to the theme of quality in education / physical education, although complex and guided by neoliberal interests, it can be assumed as an updated and critical approach to foster access to knowledge by undergraduate subjects during their formation process.
