摘要：O artigo busca argumentar como a branquidade do Estado operou e opera na ocupação da cidade de São Paulo, a partir de experiências etnográficas com movimentos de luta por moradia. Por branquidade do Estado entendo os vínculos entre os diferentes tipos de racismo presentes em algumas práticas e concepções estatais, especialmente no que diz respeito à política urbana e à repressão policial. A branquidade do Estado, enquanto modo de funcionamento, vincula-se à heteroclassificação racial realizada pelo próprio Estado, atrelada à propagação do não reconhecimento das relações sociais como racializadas. Não obstante, a branquidade do Estado é constantemente desafiada e confrontada por pessoas e grupos não brancos e seus modos de ocupar as cidades, como o footing, as ocupações de prédios e os rolezinhos.
其他摘要：Based on ethnographic experience with homeless movements, the article discusses how the whiteness of the State has functioned and functions in the occupation of the city of Sao Paulo. State whiteness, here, is understood as the links between the different kinds of racism that can be found in some State practices and concepts, especially in what comes to urban policies and the repression by the police. The State whiteness, as a way of functioning, is linked to the racial hetero-classification performed by the State, altogether with the spread of the non-recognition of the social relations as racialized. Nevertheless, the State whiteness is constantly defied and confronted by non-white people and groups and their ways of occupying the cities, such as the footing, the occupation of empty buildings, and the rolezinhos.
