摘要：Desenvolveu-se um processo formativo de professores de ciências baseado nas relações entre a Abordagem Temática Freireana e a Práxis Curricular via Tema Gerador, em que se analisaram as compreensões de professores acerca da natureza, da função e dos critérios de seleção do Tema Gerador “O perigo do rio Água Preta em Pau Brasil-BA”. As informações foram obtidas por meio da gravação audiovisual de reuniões com os professores de Ciências da rede municipal de Pau Brasil-BA e por entrevistas semiestruturadas, realizadas após o processo formativo e analisadas por meio da Análise Textual Discursiva. Dentre os resultados, destaca-se que os professores compreenderam significativamente as características problematizadora e dialógica do Tema Gerador e estabeleceram relações de temas desta natureza com problemas específicos da comunidade local. Além disso, os professores destacaram que a Investigação Temática possibilita a apreensão de contradições sociais da comunidade e distingue os Temas Geradores dos demais temas.
其他摘要：We developed a science teachers’ training process based on the relationship between the dynamics of Thematic Approach Freirean and Organizational Curriculum Praxis via Theme Generator , which analyzed the teachers’ understanding about the Theme Generator’s nature, function and selection criteria: “The dangers of the river Água Preta in Pau Brazil/BA”. The information was obtained through meetings with teachers’ audiovisual recording and semi-structured interviews conducted after the training process. They were analyzed via Text Analysis Discourse through a category established a priori, which was structured in emerging subcategories. Among the results, it is emphasized that teachers significantly understood the Theme Generator’s problematical and dialogical characteristics, as well as established relationships issues of this nature with local community’s specific problems. About this, the teachers pointed out that the process of Thematic Research enables the seizure of social contradictions of the community and distinguishes Theme Generators from other themes.
