摘要：El siguiente artículo tiene el objetivo de desarrollar un enfoque analítico que permita comprender la construcción territorial del Caribe Sur costarricense, a partir de una adaptación crítica del paradigma de la cuestión agraria. Para esto, se desarrolla una revisión de los principales conceptos provenientes de la geografía política y la historia ambiental, con el fin de entender esta región como el resultado de una dinámica compleja entre conflicto social y construcción territorial. La principal conclusión del trabajo es que el Caribe Sur se convirtió en la última franja de la frontera agrícola abierta en la década de 1950, que atrae importantes flujos de migración laboral y campesina. Este proceso acelera los conflictos locales, los cuales son el fruto de una interrelación entre la intervención estatal, la producción bananera y las formas de apropiación histórica de los pobladores locales.
其他摘要：The following article has the aim to build an analytical approach that allows understand the territorial construction of the southern Caribbean Costa Rica, from a critical adaptation of the paradigm of the agrarian question. To achieve this, the paper develops a revision of the main concepts from the political geography and environmental history, in order to understand this region as the result of a complex dynamic between social conflict and territorial construction. The main conclusion of the work is that the Caribbean South becomes the last portion of the agricultural frontier open in the 1950s, which attracts important labor migration flows and peasant. This process accelerates, local conflicts, which are the fruit of an interrelationship between state intervention, the banana production and forms of historical appropriation of the local inhabitants.
