摘要：El periodo actual del capitalismo en su etapa neoliberal tiene como rasgo característico la acumulación por desposesión, es decir, la apropiación de los activos públicos por el capital privado. En ese sentido, en este artículo se analiza el caso de la apropiación ilegal de un monumento histórico en la ciudad turística de Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, México, construido a inicios del S. xx, ícono de la navegación marítima del país. El despojo de este monumento cultural tangible es parte del proceso de neoliberalización del espacio a través de la implementación de un modelo de desarrollo turístico impulsado por el Estado mexicano, donde las compañías hoteleras han consolidado un proceso privatizador del litoral mexicano.
其他摘要：The current stage of capitalism in its neoliberal phase has the characteristic feature of accumulation by dispossession, appropriation of public assets by private capital. Given that situation, this article tells about the case of the illegal appropriation of a historical monument located in the touristic town of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur, México, built in the early 20th century, an icon of the country’s navigation system. The dispossession of this tangible cultural monument is part of the neoliberalization of space through the implementation of a tourism development model promoted by the Mexican state, where hotel companies have consolidated a process of privatization of the Mexican coast.
