摘要：En este trabajo se describe una cazoleta de pipa de fumar de terracota moldeada, recuperada en un contexto de łnes del siglo XIX e inicios del XX en el sitio Leonor Cepeda 952, en la Comuna de Independencia, Santiago de Chile. Se presentan las características morfológicas, tecnológicas y estilísticas de este ejemplar, y se lo asocia a piezas similares halladas en otras áreas para orientar la identiłcación de su cronología y procedencia. A partir de ello, se caracteriza esta pipa como un objeto industrial, producido con toda probabilidad en Italia centro-meridional a łnes del siglo XIX. El hallazgo suma un nuevo registro a esta clase de pipas, todavía insułcientemente tratadas por los investigadores en nuestra región, y frecuentemente mal catalogadas. La pipa descubierta en la comuna de Independencia, territorio perteneciente al antiguo barrio de La Chimba, al parecer sería la primera de este tipo registrada en la ciudad de Santiago. Este hallazgo adquiere especial relevancia en tanto constituye un nuevo antecedente para incorporar al estudio de los fenómenos sociales desarrollados en el área durante el siglo XIX, sobre los que al parecer existiría escasa información.
其他摘要：A smoking pipe bowl molded in terracotta recovered from a late nineteenth to early twentieth century context in the Leonor Cepeda 952 site, municipality of Independencia, Santiago de Chile is described. The morphological, technological, and stylistic characteristics of this artifact are presented and associated with similar pieces found in other areas to guide chronological identiłcation and place of origin. Accordingly, the pipe is characterized as an industrial object, most likely produced in central-southern Italy in the late nineteenth century. The łnd adds new evidence for this kind of pipe, as yet insufłciently studied by researchers in the region and often poorly cataloged. The pipe discovered in the Independencia commune, a territory belonging to the old district of La Chimba, is the łrst of its kind recorded in the city of Santiago. This łnd is particularly relevant as it constitutes a new precedent in the study of social phenomena that developed in the area during the nineteenth century, of which apparently little information exists.
