摘要：RESUMEN En este trabajo se presentan los resultados del análisis de un contexto funerario de łnes del siglo XIX, pro - cedente de la localidad de Chimpay (noreste de Patagonia, Argentina). En el sitio se hallaron restos humanos de dos individuos adultos, un hombre y una mujer, con un abundante y diverso acompañamiento funerario que incluía prendas, accesorios y otros materiales dejados junto a los cuerpos como ofrenda. El foco principal del trabajo está puesto en el estudio de estos materiales asociados a los cuerpos, algunos típicamente indígenas, y otros, característicos de la sociedad hispano-criolla. Sobre la base de esto se concluye que las personas enterradas tenían una posición social y/o política de jerarquía. El hombre posiblemente se haya desempeñado como inter- locutor indígena frente a las autoridades del gobierno nacional y, para ello, habría recibido algún carg o militar.
其他摘要：ABSTRACT MATERIAL EXPRESSION OF THE INTERACTION BETWEEN INDIANS AND CREOLES IN A FUNERARY SITE FROM THE XIX CENTURY OF NORTH PATAGONIA (CHIMPAY, RÍO NEGRO). The result of the analysis of a funerary archaeological context of the late 19 th Century from Chimpay (Northeast Patagonia, Argentina) is presented in this paper. Human remains of two individuals, one female and one male, along with a diverse and profuse funerary goods −including clothing, accessories, and several materials placed next to the bodies as funerary offerings- were found. This paper focuses on the analysis of this set of associated materials, which includes both Hispanic and native goods. On the basis of this analysis, it is proposed that both individuals buried at the site were politically and/or socially inŃuential persons. Moreover, it is proposed that the male could have served as an aboriginal interlocutor, and military ofłcer, in the context of interactions between native peoples and the national government.
