摘要：A temática Mídia e Tecnologia ganhou força nas pesquisas na área de Comunicação na última década, em especial pelo desenvolvimento das mídias digitais e pelos impactos sociais, culturais, econômicos e políticos que elas têm gerado. Assim, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo geral o mapeamento das teses e dissertações produzidas dentro da temática Mídia e Tecnologia nos programas de pós graduação da área da Comunicação, com notas 5 e 6 da CAPES, durante o período de 2000 a 2014. Já os objetivos específicos foram: revisar as bases teóricas e metodológicas do campo da Comunicação, com especial atenção as voltadas à temática Mídia e Tecnologia; analisar as matrizes teóricas e metodológicas da área da Comunicação durante a primeira década do século XXI; observar as alterações sofridas pelas pesquisa na área da Comunicação a partir da adoção de novos procedimentos metodológicos. Para tanto, utilizamos a pesquisa exploratória, tendo como aporte o banco de dissertações e teses da CAPES. Como resultados, percebemos que boa parte das dissertações e teses utilizam matrizes metodológicas convencionais às pesquisas das áreas de Ciências Sociais Aplicadas, com foco nas pesquisas exploratórias e descritivas, sendo poucas as que buscaram inovar no procedimento metodológico, o que demonstra incoerência entre objeto e metodologia.
其他摘要：The themes concerning Media and Technology have been consolidated in researches in the area of Communication in the last decade, particularly regarding to the development of digital media and the social, cultural, economic and political impacts they have generated. Thus, this research had as general objective the mapping of theses and dissertations produced within the thematic of Media and Technology in the graduate programs among the Communication area, with grades 5 and 6, during the period from 2000 to 2014. The specific objectives were: reviewing the theoretical and methodological bases of the field of Communication, with special attention to the themes of Media and Technology; analyzing the theoretical and methodological matrices of the Communication area during the first decade of the 21st century; and observing the changes undergone by the research in the area of Communication in regards to the adoption of new methodological procedures. Therefore, we have used the exploratory research, having as input the dissertations and thesis available in the CAPES repository. As results, we have noticed that most of the theses and dissertations use conventional methodological matrices to the researches in the areas of Applied Social Sciences, focusing on exploratory and descriptive researches, few of which sought to innovate in the methodological proceedings, which shows incoherence between the object and the methodology.
