标题：RELAÇÕES DE PODER ENTRE BISPO E IMPERADOR: uma proposta interpretativa acerca da oficialização do cristianismo a partir de Gregório de Nissa e Teodósio I (século IV)

摘要：Este artigo apresenta uma proposta interpretativa alternativa à visão consolidada na historiografia sobre a "oficialização do cristianismo" concedida ao imperador Teodósio I tendo como princípio o favorecimento imperial ao grupo de cristãos nicenos. Durante décadas, a historiografia sobre a Antiguidade Tardia discutiu a relação entre o poder imperial e o cristianismo a partir de interpretações que analisavam os imperadores sob a ótica de uma “cristianização” do Império. Entretanto, desde a primeira década de nosso século, o debate pode ser revisitado a partir de novas problemáticas que consideram diferentes grupos cristãos no século IV, assim como a linha tênue entre os vários cristianismos e suas relações com o poder imperial. A partir da relação de poder entre bispo e imperador, protagonizadas por Gregório de Nissa e Teodósio I, este artigo objetiva analisar um estudo de caso que reflete uma dentre as várias facetas que compunham a proposta de governança político-cultural de Teodósio em relação aos vários cristianismos que compunham o Império Romano daquele espaço e contexto.
其他摘要：This paper presents an alternative interpretation of the well-established historiography concept of “official christianity” granted Theodosius I, which takes as a starting point the imperial benefit to nicene-christians. For decades, Late Antiquity historiography has debated the relationship between the imperial power and christianity based on interpretations who reflect Roman Emperors under the perspective of the christianization of the Empire. Nonetheless, since the 2000s, this debate has been thoroughly revisited through a more complex perspective, which considers the presence of different christian groups during the 4th century AD as well as the tenuous line between the various christianities and their relationship with the imperial power. From the power relationship between Bishop and Emperor, personified by Gregory of Nyssa and Theodosius I, this paper aims to analyze a case study that reflects one of several facets behind the political and cultural governance proposal of Theodosius I to the different christian groups present in the Roman Empire at that time.
