摘要：A construção da Estrada de Ferro Vitória a Minas (EFVM), no início do século XX, buscava estabelecer comunicações mais efetivas entre os estados de Minas Gerais e do Espírito Santo, integrando importante região do hinterlandbrasileiro ao Porto de Vitória. Nosso objetivo é compreender as especificidades dessa ferrovia no que se refere à sua forma de atuação regional, saldos operacionais e Balanços Financeiros em fase na qual, dentro dos marcos da periodização proposta (1902-1942), o transporte de café foi prioritário para as receitas, dado o desenvolvimento dessa lavoura na região leste de Minas Gerais e no norte/noroeste do estado do Espírito Santo. Utilizamos como fonte os relatórios da EFVM, a partir dos quais percebemos o movimento de cargas nas distintas estações dessa companhia ferroviária, a natureza da receita e das despesas, seus aspectos financeiros e o crescimento econômico da região cortada pelos trilhos.
其他摘要：The construction of the Estrada de Ferro Vitória a Minas (EFVM), in the early twentieth century, sought to set up more effective communications between the states of Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, integrating important region of the Brazilian hinterland to the Victoria Port. Our goal is to understand the specificities of this railroad in relation to their form of regional operations, operating balances and balance sheets in phase in which, within the frameworks of the periodicity proposed (1902-1942), coffee transport was the priority for recipes since the development of this crop in eastern Minas Gerais and north / northwest of the state of the Espírito Santo. Used as main source reports EFVM, from which we perceive the movement of loads in the different stations of this railway company, the nature of revenue and expenditure, financial aspects and economic growth in the region cut the tracks.
