摘要：El presente texto analiza el discurso sobre las experiencias de violencia que han tenido 15 hombres que se identificaron como hombres gay u homosexuales residentes de la Ciudad de México mediante de entrevistas a profundidad. El muestreo fue intencional y de máxima variación, buscando a participantes que difirieron en edad, empleo y año y edad de salir del clóset. Se llevó a cabo un análisis crítico del discurso para interpretar los datos. Las narraciones y el análisis permite entender que la violencia homofóbica forma parte de la cultura de género en donde se subordina lo femenino por debajo de lo masculino y lo homo-erótico por debajo de lo hetero-erótico. Además, los resultados señalan que la violencia, tanto institucional como interpersonal tiene efectos importantes sobre las emociones, mismas que pueden conducir a problemas de salud mental. Es importante entender la violencia como un fenómeno objetivo que afectan subjetividades particulares; esta visión permite colocar intervenciones a nivel social en vez de continuar la patologización de los hombres gay.
其他摘要：This paper analyzes the discourse of 15 men who self-identified as gay or homosexual living in Mexico City and their experiences of violence. Sampling was intentional, using a maximum variability criterion, where men were selected because they differed in age, job and year and age of coming out. Critical discourse analysis was used to analyze the qualitative data obtained through in-depth interviews. Data showed that homophobic violence that gay men are subjected to is part of gender culture, where what is considered feminine is understood as subordinated to what is considered masculine, and that homo-eroticism is subordinated to the hetero-eroticism. The analysis shows that violence, both institutional and interpersonal has effects on emotions that can also lead to mental health issues. It is important to understand violence as an objective phenomenon that affects particular subjectivities; such a vision can help produce social interventions instead of continuing to pathologize gay men.
