摘要：El objetivo de este análisis es reflexionar acerca de modelos integrados de producción ganadera familiar y extensiva, más estables y sustentables, en los que se integre el componente leñoso, que contribuye a la reducción de gases con efecto invernadero y favorece la mitigación del cambio climático. Para ello se hizo una revisión de conceptos referentes a la integración de la actividad forestal en la ganadería, como alternativa viable de sistema de producción. Se parte del criterio de que los sistemas silvopastoriles (SSP), dentro de los agroforestales, son agroecosistemas en los que se asocia un componente arbóreo con uno herbáceo (pasturas naturales o mejoradas) y otro pecuario (ganado) en un mismo sitio, donde existen interacciones biológicas entre estos y se maximiza el uso de la tierra. También se describe cómo se agrupan los SSP; sus oportunidades desde los puntos de vista económico, productivo, social y ambiental; y los efectos de la interacción entre sus componentes. Este análisis permite plantear que los SSP son producto de la relación entre la biología, la sociedad y la cultura, y en ellos existe una enorme diversidad; asimismo, permiten la reconversión de la ganadería extensiva de muy baja productividad en sistemas más productivos y sostenibles en el tiempo, así como la rehabilitación de las áreas degradadas por ese tipo de ganadería, por la deforestación y por el agotamiento de los suelos.
其他摘要：The objective of this analysis is to reflect on more sustainable family and extensive integrated livestock production models, in which the woody component is integrated, contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gases and favoring the mitigation of the climate change. For such purpose, a revision was made referring to the integration of the forestry activity in livestock production, as a viable alternative of production system. A start is made from the criterion that silvopastoral systems (SPSs), within the agroforestry ones, are agroecosystems in which a tree component is associated with a herbaceous (natural or improved pastures) and a farming component (livestock) in the same site, where biological interactions exist among them and land use is maximized. This paper also describes how SPSs are grouped; their opportunities from the economic, productive, social and environmental points of view; and the effects of the interaction among its components. This analysis allows to state that SPSs are a product of the relation among biology, society and culture, and in them there is a large diversity; likewise, they allow the reconversion of the very little productive extensive livestock production into more productive and sustainable systems, as well as the rehabilitation of the areas degraded by this type of livestock production, deforestation and soil depletion.
