摘要：En este artículo se describen las dificultades que muestran los alumnos de tercer año de la Licenciatura de Matemáticas de una universidad colombiana en torno al concepto de función valor absoluto cuando se enfrentan a una tarea sobre la integral definida. Con el objetivo de estudiar el desarrollo del esquema del concepto de integral definida en el marco de la teoría APOE se diseñó un cuestionario en el que se incluye una actividad sobre la función valor absoluto. Los datos del cuestionario se completaron con una entrevista y un mapa conceptual que permitieron identificar los elementos matemáticos, las relaciones lógicas que se establecen entre ellos y el uso que hacen los alumnos de los sistemas de representación gráfico, algebraico y analítico. Los resultados permitieron encontrar que muchos estudiantes tienen dificultades con la función valor absoluto para el desarrollo del esquema de Integral Definida.
其他摘要：In this article the difficulties third year Colombian university Mathematics students show about the concept of Definite Integral when they solve a task about the absolute value function concept are described.. With the aim of studying the development of the scheme of the concept of Definite Integral in the frame of APOS theory a questionnaire was designed that included a task about the absolute value function. The data were completed with an interview and a conceptual map in order to identify the mathematical elements, the logical relations that were established between these elements and the graphical, algebraic and analytical systems of representation that pupils use to solve the tasks. The results allowed discovering the difficulties students have with the absolute value function in the development of the scheme of Definite Integral.
