摘要：Este artigo discute os resultados da pesquisa realizada no Bloco Afro Akomabu do Centro de Cultura Negra do Maranhão (CCN-MA), que teve por objetivo compreender como as ações educativas realizadas pelo Bloco contribuem para a construção da identidade negra. Discute-se se as intencionalidades da ação educativa realizada pelo Bloco dialogam com outros movimentos sociais e refletem sobre os subsídios que as atividades do Bloco Afro Akomabu oferecem para a realização de práticas educativas que contemplem a diversidade étnico-racial no contexto da implementação da Lei nº 10.639/2003, que tornou obrigatório o ensino da História e Cultura Africana e Afro-Brasileira. Para tanto, debate-se neste trabalho as políticas públicas federais para a população negra que foram desenvolvidas desde 2003 e realiza-se um breve histórico das lutas da população negra do Maranhão. Conclui-se que as ações do Bloco Afro Akomabu e do CCN-MA colaboram para o processo de construção da identidade negra, para o reconhecimento e valorização da História e Cultura Africana e Afro-Brasileira e proporcionam elementos para o questionamento dos currículos eurocêntricos das instituições educacionais.
其他摘要：This article discusses the results of the research conducted in the African Akomabu Block from the Black Culture Center of Maranhão (CCN-MA), which aims to understand how the educational activities carried out by the Block contribute to the construction of black identity. We discussed the intentionality of the educational action performed by the block, as it maintains a dialogue with other social movements and ponders on the subsidies offered by activities from the African Akomabu Block to the conduction of educational practices that address racial and ethnic diversity, in context with the implementation of the Law 10,639/2003, which made compulsory the teaching of African and African-Brazilian History and Culture. For this we discussed the federal public policies for the black population, developed since 2003, and made a brief history of the struggles of the black population in Maranhão (São Luís, Brazil). We concluded that the actions of the Afro Akomabu Block and the CCN-MA collaborate for the construction of black identity, for the recognition and appreciation of African and Afro-Brazilian history and culture, and provide elements for questioning the Eurocentric curriculum of educational institutions.
