摘要：O trabalho reflete sobre o Escudo Guianês como patrimônio natural a ser preservado em um processo orientado pela cooperação internacional entre Brasil, Colômbia, Guiana Francesa, Guiana, Suriname e Venezuela na proteção de um bem transfronteiriço. Entre outras possibilidades, aponta para a criação de Unidades de Conservação (UC) nesse relevo sul‑americano para inclusão na Lista de Patrimônio Mundial da United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
其他摘要：The work reflects on the Guiana Shield as natural heritage to be preserved in a process driven by international cooperation between Brazil, Colombia, French Guiana, Guyana, Suriname and Venezuela in the protecting of a transboundery property. Among other possibilities, a proposed action in this direction is given by the creation of Conservation Units (CU) for inclusion in the World Heritage List of the United Nations Educa‑tional, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
