  • 摘要:Finding free e-journals is very difficult in web environment, because these types of journals are all scattered and they are rarely found in traditional bibliographic sources. Therefore, locating and their retrieval are hard. Then it is not easy to disseminate the accredited ones. The aim of this study was to determine the most accredited free English e-journals in medical sciences. The research methods were content and link analysis. In order to collect the data, a checklist has been used which its validity has been confirmed. The research population consisted of 700 free electronic journals of medical sciences which were collected from two reputable websites. Using qualitative study on the websites of these journals, the number of eligible journals in this research decreased to 269 journals. In the next step, Journals' websites has been analyzed with webometrics methods. Then, utilizing core journal formula, the accredited ones were determined. Results showed that "New South Wales Public Health Bulletin" in Health, "Online Journal of Rural Nursing and Health Care" in Nursery, "BMC Oral Health" in Dentistry and "Brazilian Journal of Medical and Biological Research" in Medicine were the most accredited journals in term of in links. Also, "International Journal of Integrated Care" in Health, "BMC Nursing" in Nursery, "Journal of Oral Science" in Dentistry, "The New York State Dental Journal" and "Journal of Oral Science" were the top free e-journals in term of web impact factor.
