摘要：Network lifetime is one of the critical performance parameters in Visual Sensor Networks. In order to avoid transmission of redundant information to the base station, it becomes necessary to select among the nodes in the neighboring region having the same area of coverage for data transfer. This work presents an efficient approach aimed at reducing the extra amount of information to the controlling station. The proposed algorithm is based on the concept of image overlapping and energy conservation technique which increases the network lifetime.
