摘要:Semantic knowledge related to unique entities, such as famous people, has been shown to be particularly vulnerable to impairment in mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and Alzheimer's disease (AD). Despite its clinical importance, this type of memory remains poorly assessed by Quebec neuropsychologists, due to the lack of standardized tests available. This project presents the POP-40, a new protocol assessing famous person knowledge, specifically adapted to the French-speaking elderly population of Quebec. This article describes its elaboration (study 1), followed by the presentation of results of a normative reference group comprising of 103 healthy elderly participants (study 2). A brief version, the POP-10, designed with the data obtained in MCI participants for the rapid screening of semantic memory impairment related to famous persons, is also presented (study 3). The joint use of this new tool with the PUB-40, a semantic test of public events, is also recommended.
