摘要：Lévinas argues that there are realities that escape the totalizing power of reason and its constituent power. This is the case, for example, the face of the other man. The other man's face thus acquires a central place in our author, therefore, it is the very place of truth; this fact no longer theoretical but ethical truth, metaphysical or as the face does not lend itself to objectification, is the unveiling is appropriateness. This ethic is possible true if we take into account that the face is the expression of the uniqueness of the individual, only to exist; this uniqueness that it is possible to consider like separate of totality.
