摘要：In 2004, Memorial University, in partnership with the RoyalNewfoundland Constabulary (RNC), introduced a PoliceStudies Diploma as the academic portion of the training forindividuals accepted as police recruit cadets. !ere were anumber of challenges to the development of this program,some of which continue to exist. However, today the programis highly regarded by the provincial government, Memor-ial leadership, other police services, and the community.!is program, now in its 10th year, has been very successful,graduating 223 police cadets.
