摘要：In this paper we undertake the study of archaeologicalmaterial (lithics and ceramics) recovered on Villa Vilarea (Dpto. Belén, Catamarca) from a taphonomicperspective. It is our intention to contribute to thecurrent state of knowledge about formation processesof archaeological deposit in this location; departingfrom an evaluation and identification of the effectsthat these processes have caused on archaeologicalmaterials such as lithics and ceramics. Analizedmaterials were recovered by surface survey as well asfrom exposed profiles in alluvial terraces of El BolsónRiver at Villa Vil Location (Belén, Catamarca). First,based on the study of stratigraphic profiles, we builta model for events and post-depositional processesthat formed deposits. Then, following literature on thesubject, we generated analysis protocols based oncharacteristics exhibited by the materials collectedand the taphonomic agents potentially related to ourmodel. Data obtained show that the set of processesthat took place in this deposit conformation would havebeen more complex than we initially expected.
