摘要：A pesquisa objetivou investigar os pressupostos que presidem a estrutura curricular numa concepção crítico - emancipatória e analisar uma proposta político - pedagógica para o ensino fundamental que considera a diversidade cultural, a desigualdade social existente e o direito de todas as crianças à aprendizagem na escola pública. Trata - se de uma mudança na lógica da escola, um processo sócio - histórico - cultural vislumbrando a construção de uma escola pública, popular, democrática, com qualidade social. A função social da escola objetiva a aquisição de conhecimentos e valores, a formação humana e a formação cidadã, o direito à voz, à participação, à reinvenção do mundo e tem como horizonte a construção de uma escola mais justa e solidária. Por fim, a educação popular e a estrutura curricular crítico - emancipatória condicionam uma mudança radical na estrutura organizacional no cotidiano da escola e na proposta de ge stão da política pública em um sistema de ensino.
其他摘要：The research aimed to investigate the precepts that preside the curricular structure in a critical - emancipatory conception and to analyze a political - pedagogical proposal for elementary school that considers cultural diversity, existing social inequality and the right of all children to learning in the public school. It is a change in the logic of the school, a socio - historical - cultural process, envisioning to build public popular and democratic school with social quality. The social function of the school aims at the acquisi tion of knowledge and values, human formation and citizen training, the right to voice, participation, reinvention of the world and has as a horizon the construction a fairest school. Finally, popular education and the critical - emancipatory curricular stru cture condition a radical change in the organizational structure in the daily life of the school and in the proposal of public policy management, in a system of education.
