摘要:In this work, we present a research carried out with focus on similar function and where we based our analyses on the records of semiotic representation. It is a qualitative research of an interventional character developed with students of the first year of the high school of a public college at the city of Sao Luís, MA, Brazil. This work has the aim to investigate the students’ learning in the didactical and methodological use of the functions of conversion and handling records. The research data include a survey of the corpus of research, observations of data processing in the classroom and analyzes of the activities developed in class. We observed that the students who presented a better performance are those that transited in at least two different representations of the object of study.
