摘要：The purpose of this article is to analyze the importance of the Mercosur regional integration process for the development of the Creative Economy in Brazil. For this, the article presents the concept of creative economy, its historical origin and some facts that show its applicability, especially, the recognition of the theme as strategic by several countries and international organizations. Next, the impacts that Brazil's participation in the regional bloc brings to the development of the Brazilian creative sector, especially in what concerns the lack of an economic policy conducted by the regional block, are studied. The current stage of development of Mercosur contributes to the Brazilian creative economy in some important aspects, but it is necessary to advance and deepen the integration system for at least a complete Customs Union, in view of the peculiarities that the demand and the strong competition that occurs with other countries whose strategy of action in the creative sector is already at a more advanced stage. Due to its objectives, the analytical descriptive method was used as a mode of logical reasoning and bibliographical research as a technique.
