摘要:Most of the available technical literature inTCSC usually deals with steady state and dynamic controland applications independently. However, to fullyunderstand and properly utilize these types of controllers, anumber of control tasks for both dynamic and steady statesystem improvement must be jointly considered. Since thetime frames of the different control actions comprise a widerange of system responses a hierarchical control schemeshould be preferably considered for the controller. In thecase of a TCSC such a scheme should consider the differentcontrol levels acting on the same control variable, which inthis paper is assumed to be the fundamental frequencyequivalent impedance, as this is the control variable mostcommonly studied in the literature. In this kind ofhierarchical control design is difficult connections betweenthe different control levels may be expected when notproperly coordinated. The main aim is to analyze thedesign of a hierarchical TCSC controller for stabilityenhancement, taking into account interactions among thedifferent control levels.
