摘要:This article is devoted to the 150乚th anniversary of genius engineer Boris Loutzky. The purpose of the article is to fill a research gap in the biography of Boris Loutzky, which is related with the initial period of his work for the benefit of homeland. Unknown and little known facts of life and work of Boris Loutzkoy are given in the article on the basis of archival and literary sources. The article presents the documents from the Central State Archive of the Russian Navy which showed that Boris Loutzky was engaged in the creation of an internal combustion engine without igniter as early as in the late XIX century. It was established that in 1902 he created and patented the engine of this type in Germany. This engine can been used to ekzact operating machines in contrast to the Diesel engine. It was found that in 1901乚1903 Boris Loutzky tested own internal combustion engines on the boat of imperial yacht 佱Hohenzollern佲 belonging to German Emperor Wilhelm II. The article also presents the documents from the archives of the concern 佱Daimler AG佲, which indicate that in 1902乚1903 years Boris Loutzky demanded from the management of the company 佱Daimler乚Motoren乚Gesellschaft佲 to title 佱Daimler乚Loutzky佲 all products manufactured by the company for his patents. It乫s found that the world乫s first reversible internal combustion engine was invented by Boris Loutzky in 1903. Quick overview about the wife of Boris Loutzky . Lucy Mary Agnes Hickenlooper is given. It was found that the information of Soviet and Russian historians about death of Boris Loutzky in Russia in the early 20乚ies of the last century is contrary to fact. The author discovered the documents which testify that Boris Loutzky was still alive in 1943 and lived in Germany.
