摘要:their children English achievement and their English language proficiency. To fulfill thisobjective, the Parents’ Motivation Questionnaire was distributed among 120 parents tocategorize the parents in two groups, one with high level of involvement and positivemotivation and the other with a lower level of involvement and less positive motivation andthey were recognizable by the codes that the researcher assigned. Descriptive statistics (meanand standard deviation), and inferential statistics (correlation and independent t-test) wereused to analyze the data. On the basis of the results obtained from the present and previousstudies, it is concluded that the study of parents’ motivations, attitudes, and the activities theyhave done at home toward the learning of English language helps us predict children’slanguage achievement and school success.
