摘要:The teachers in rural set up schools though have an individuality of themselves dohave different kinds of problems because they are caught in the whirlwind of villagepolitics. The main task of the teacher hence is not merely imparting the knowledge to thestudents or direct interest among the students towards the subject matter. Teacher’s role isvery important is socialising the children. It is the teacher who controls and directs thebehaviour of children. Hence, teachers influences factors in classroom situation, whichare in turn influences academic achievement of students.The researcher has adopted theDescriptive method for research work. To make the study worthwhile a representativerandom sample of the total population has been taken. Questionnaire for teachers toinvestigate the problems and difficulties of teaching English as second language was usedfor collection of relevant data. Finally the researcher has found that the English teachersare facing more problems related to curriculum. These experienced teachers expressedtheir grievance towards present English curriculum. Further, the male teachers are facingmore problems related to workload and teaching, students, teaching methodologyinfrastructure and evaluation than female teachers, may be more administrative workcreates stress on male teachers as they felt workload as burden
