  • 摘要:Fly Ash (FA) is a by-product obtained by the combustion of coal for energy production. Fly Ash isconsidered as a pollutant because it causes significant economic and environmental problems. Abundant Fly Ashproduced in coal power stations is held in dumps which causes waste of land and the long term financial burden ofmaintenance. Worldwide research has been undertaken to reduce environmental impacts of fly ash, therefore it can helpreduce environmental and economic impacts caused by Fly Ash. Cement is the key constituent of concrete, but itgenerates a significant amount of harmful gas (CO2), but, as concrete has many advantages, it is mostly usedconstruction material on the planet. Fly Ash can be used as an ingredient of the concrete in place of cement, as FA haspozzolonic properties. With different fineness of fly ash, the OPC cement is replaced by various percentages indifferent concrete mixture. This paper reviews on the effective use of FA in concrete and its effect on mechanicalproperties such as compressive strength, flexural strength and split tensile strength of it and to make it economical andreduce environmental effects.
