摘要:With soaring fossil-fuel prices and shifting focus towards Renewable Energy and Alternate Fuels, thetransport industry is inevitably tipping towards the adoption of Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs). These BEVs arepropelled by an electric motor which uses electric energy stored onboard in batteries. The electric motor has very highefficiency on all loads and engine speeds compared to the ICE, along with instant torque delivery from the start andregenerative braking. Yet they have a long way to go to effectively replace conventionally powered vehicles, and sealtheir place as the more practical option. This paper presents an extensive overview of the 3 branches of the current BEVeco-system along with their components, analyzing their respective current and emerging trends:i. Design of BEVii.
