摘要:Conventional fiber reinforced plastics (FRP’s) have long been important if not indispensable in manycrucial applications such as transportation, renewable energy, defense applications, as well as many others. Compositematerials are of interest to these industries due to their attractive properties including high strength to weight ratio andhigh modulus to weight ratio. Comprehensive research has been conducted on conventional composite materials tooptimize their processing parameters as well as optimize their mechanical behavior and reliability. Although compositesprovide excellent mechanical properties, certain applications demand improved mechanical behavior as well as thepresence of additional properties. Recent developments in polymers have developed nanocomposites, which arecomposites reinforced by nanopowders.In these materials, the nanopowders have shown great enhancements inmechanical properties, thermal properties, and electrical properties. Never the less, these composites lack the strengthfor applications where FRP’s are currently used. The addition of nanopowders as reinforcement to conventionalcomposites shows great promise to not only enhance the existing properties of these composites, but also add manyother properties that would maximize their applications. The objective of this project work is toinvestigate the fiberorientation reinforced hybridpolymer nanocomposites that combine with hybrid composites i.e BAMBOO/E-GLASSand epoxy polymer in the ratio of 0.1wt %, 0.2 wt% and 0.3 wt% percent of volume are to be considered. Themechanical properties are to be calculating by carrying out tests on specimens intension, compression and flexure inaccordance with the test procedure laid down in ASTM standards.
