摘要：There has been an unprecedented growth in the global communication industry in recent years which hasresulted in a remarkable increase in the number of wireless devices. Mobile industry is one of the fastest growingindustries in the world. Electromagnetic radiation resulting from cell phones and towers is a form of environmentalpollution which may hurt human. Mobile phone masts which are located in residential areas are disturbing humanscontinuously with noise and radiation that could suffer long-term effects, like reduction of their natural defenses,deterioration of their health and problem in reproduction etc. It has been tried to study the magnitude ofelectromagnetic radiation from mobile towers in Kota city and probable health effects on human beings. The study hasbeen carried out for a year long period and it has been found that electromagnetic radiation emitted from mobile towersis beyond the permissible limits at certain locations in the city.
