摘要：Climate changes have a considerable impact on woods’ state, including those on Republic of Moldova’sterritory. From international perspective on the actual stage, when estimating negative impact of climate change on thewoods, one majorly tries to use certain climatic indexes that are adequately describing the present bioclimatic conditions.Forest Aridity Index, proposed by Führer is amongst such indexes. In this context, spatio-temporal particularitiesof Forest Aridity Index’s manifestation during 1960–2015 period was calculated for the fi rst time in conditions of Republicof Moldova. We consider, that Forest Aridity Index map elaborated on the forestry level can facilitate to selection ofnew tree species, which origins and genotypes are more tolerant to the actual climatic conditions.
