摘要：A obra "Introdução à linguística bantu" da autoria do professor Armindo Nguynga é uma obra de referência nos estudos sobre as línguas bantu moçambicanas que infleizmente ainda não possuem muita literatura divulgada. É uma obra de referencia para alunos da graduação e pós-graduação que se interessam pelas linguas africanas. O livro descreve de forma minucuiosa o funcionamento das linguas bantu, sua classificação, seus grupos de linguas, suas familias e subfamílias assim como os nuances da gramática que aparenta, fato que comprova que eles tiveram uma origem comum. Usando o método genealogico e tipológico, o livro desbrava a fonética e fonologia, a semantica e a morfologia trazendo exemplos extraidos da língua oral usada por aquele povo, pois é um povo de tradição oral. Abstract: The book Introduction to linguistics bantu in this second edition reinforces the commitment given by the mozambican linguist, Armindo Ngunga, at the time of the first edition in 2004, in which he defended the need to describe and produce materials in several Mozambican Bantu Languages (MBL). It is a work that painstakingly describes the functioning of Bantu languages as a large group of African languages. The author has demonstrated the applicability of each theory by bringing examples extracted from the various MBL. It is a work that presents a robust theoretical framework, a methodology, a bibliographical revision and a corpus built at the base of the spoken language. The work is the result of researches conducted by the author and his undergraduate and graduate students of the various disciplines teached at Eduardo Mondlane University.
