摘要:Resulting from the emerging importance of population ageing, thelast several years an increased amount of academic interest hasbeen located in the area of motivation of older employees. In thiscontext, job satisfaction has been used as one of the measure toevaluate older workers wellbeing in the organization. The aim ofthis paper is to investigate the preference of financial and nonfinancialincentives among older employees and their impact on jobsatisfaction. A total of 351 employees aged 40 years and overworking in the telecommunication industry in the Republic ofMacedonia, have been included in the study. The results indicatedthat although both types of incentives are positively related to jobsatisfaction, financial incentives tend to be stronger predictors. Inaddition, managerial position, tenure and intrinsic motivation havebeen positively related to job satisfaction among older employees aswell. The current research seeks to decrease the research gapconcerning the ageing workforce in developing economies andcontribute to the increased understanding of these growing agegroup of employees.
