摘要：The Lithuanian farmers face with a huge need for information andcounselling services to increase the competitiveness of farms andto increase farmers' ability to use the EU and Lithuanian governmentsupport funds for them. Farmers need to meet their needs ofspecific consulting services provided by various organizations andindividual consultants in Lithuania. This raises the question: whatare the most important factors for farmers choosing consultingservices. Those are important for implications for consulting servicebusiness strategy and regulatory policies. Hypothesis - the most importantfactors of farmers’ selecting agricultural consulting servicesare the counselling content, the counselling technique and thelength of counselling. The aim of the paper - to identify and investigatethe factors influencing farmers’ preferences selecting agriculturalconsulting services. The analysis of these issues was a basisfor empirical research in Lithuania. For the research completion, themethods of questionnaire survey were applied. The results of thestudy showed that the most significant factors forming farmers' preferencesselecting agricultural consulting services are consultingcontent and length of consulting. The regressive analysis enabledthe research in causality of connections and revealed that there ispresent linear and statistically strong or very strong impact amongthese variables. Also there are present direct and meaningful impacts:between counselling content and farmers’ age, betweenlength of counselling and farmers’ the level of education and thetype of farming..
