摘要：IDS is new terminology which provides network security. In this paper we describe about the HostBased Intrusion Detection System using SNORT IDS. The SNORT sensor is listening to the flow of data within thesegments, without impeding network performance. SNORT informs of an attack to the administrator. It can beconnected with a secure point Firewall & VPN Server to give a high-end security system.
