摘要:This paper presents a novel approach for designing a digital FIR high pass filter using hybrid predatorprey optimization (HPPO) algorithm. HPPO is a combination of two algorithms that are given by predator preyoptimation (PPO) and exploratory move (EM). Predator prey optimization is a global search algorithm whereasexploratory move is a local search algorithm. Prey particles try to occupy safe place to save themself from predator.Exploratory search adjust the solution in local search space. The optimal filter design parameters have been obtainedusing HPPO algorithm which results in minimizing the magnitude error and ripple magnitude. The achieved resultshave been compared with the results obtained by hybrid differential evolution algorithm and it has been seen that filterdesigned using HPPO outperforms HDE in the solution quality and convergence speed.
